Hi  

 

I can confirm that it is an existing bug in the new versions and I have no idea when it will be fixed.

 

I suspect it is connected in some way with the implementation of this "new idea" Stop journal consolidation in AccountRight 2011 in 2013.1

 

The attached image illustrates what is displayed in a 'Reconciliation Report'; as this is a live example some values have been removed.  Please note that the 'ID No.' values also appear in the 'Allocation Memo' column.

 

There is a 'new idea' on this link Detailed Job Report which is presently 'under consideration' and I fear that if it is implemented it too will suffer the same fate as Reports that already provide the 'Allocation Memo' column as a display option; just like the existing 'Reconciliation Report'

Hi  thanks for your input here.

 

You're right in saying that Dropbox can be used in AccountRight v19 and earlier and AccountEdge programs, AccountEdge for the Mac is built a bit differently and used Dropbox primarily to work with the AccountEdge Mobile App.

 

AccountRight can run from a dropbox program but we don't recommend or support it being used this way as it has been known to cause some login errors, which aren't serious but just take time to correct, as well as possible data corruption in the file due to connection errors, which are a bit more serious.

These limitations are why we have developed our own cloud storage system for AccountRight, using AccountRight Live, as it does not have these same data issues from accessing the file online.

As alluded to in my earlier post other reports exist that do display correct values when the 'Allocation Memo' is displayed.  Instead of using the 'Reconciliation Report' I suggest that you use the 'Account Transactions [Accrual]' report to obtain correct 'Allocation Memo' values.

Hi  thank you for your question and welcome the MYOB Community Forum.

 

Thank you to  for covering the big points to consider before looking at downgrading and suggesting alternative downgrade options to use the cloud and multi-user.

 

Something else that I would just like to put out there is that, if you're only looking at downgrading to gain access to the cloud storage or multi-user, we are expecting to release AccountRight Live Premier soon (last I heard, the plan was before the end of the Financial Year).

I too have a similar situation. I use Jobs. Find it very difficult when separating aged payables and multi spreadsheet P&L.

Hi,

 

Is there a way to automatically print invoice copies to go with reminder letters? Alternatively can I select multiple invoices from different cutomer accounts and print once in bulk, rather than having to open them individually and print them?

Business Insights won't load error window appears

Every time I try to load business insights an error window appears and when the OK button is clicked a blank window appears. I have tried to email customer support a week ago and today with no response, plus I was on the phone for just short of an hour waiting with no response untill I hung up. I have a new computer with the latest windows plus I am up to date with MYOB, I have three computers and only the new one has this problem and it just happens to be the accountant's.

Any Ideas

What does the "error window" say?

 

This may not be related, but I have just noticed that, for the last couple of days, every time I use Business Insights in AR2014 (which is otherwise working OK) it is leaving a file on my desktop called "incorrectLayout.xml".  The file contains a couple of pages of innocuous html code.  Deleting this "dropping' is getting a bit annoying.  These errors seem like a bit of corrupted code may be at fault??

Adding/deleting columns in Sales & purchases windows

I am wanting customise my new sale window  to add extra order number fields. I currently put header lines in to add the extra work order numbers and reference numbers and have it saved as a recurring transaction however this time consuming when I need to generate 50 odd of these invoices per day all with differant numbers and referances.

 

I am aware that this feature has not been available in previous versions but am hoping that  this may have changed since I last looked.

 

If it is possible how do you do it? I can't find how you can customise the new sales window, which leads me to the conclusion that you still cant do it.

Hi

 

Welcome to the community

 

I'm afraid that this is not possible in any versions of the software as at version 2013.5, the closest that you would be able to do is to shorten the fields that you do not want to show on screen.

 

You can however customise your invoice forms to add or remove the columns that you want to see when sending out your email.

 

If you want to have this feature available in future releases, please have a look at our Idea Exchange and either vote for this idea if it has already been entered or add it as a new idea for other users to vote on.

Inititialisation Error

Every time I try to access a Data File (even the Clearwater File), I recieve an initialisation error, and the file will not open. I am running MYOB AccountRight Plus 19.9 and Windows 7. The system also creates or adds a line to an MYOBOSC.log file, a text file with the following content:

2014-04-10T13:43:38;9001;130-89
2014-04-11T08:46:40;9001;130-89
2014-05-03T16:39:02;9001;130-89
2014-05-03T20:05:44;9001;130-89
2014-05-03T20:09:46;9001;130-89 - obviously showing the date/time I have tried to access the file, and what might be an error message.

I have tried uninstalling (also using the Installation Key Remover) & reinstalling, all to no avail.

Could someone please help!

Unable to edit/add new accounts under accounts easy setup assistant

Hi, I have just recently downloaded a trival version of Account Right Plus. When i go to edit/add a new account under the Accounts easy setup assistant- i receive this error:

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum.

Attached is the screen image to which I suspect you refer when you said "...When i go toedit/add a new account under the Accounts easy setup assistant  i receive this error:..."

 

Please open the 'Clearwater' sample company file and try doing in that what you were attempting to do in your company file.  The sample company file that you should open is 'Clearwater_Plus_AU' if you are in Australia or 'Clearwater_Plus_NZ' if you are in New Zealand.  If you don't know where to find that file then please read and follow the MYOB support Note on this link Where are the "Clearwater" sample company files for AccountRight 2014.1?.

 

If the issue is again encountered in the sample company file then can you please provide a screen shot in your reply post of what you see and ensure that you follow this support note Attaching Images instruction when attaching the image to your post.

thanks looks like this is the best way to go. as i am getting data from myob and reporting my p&l in a excel management report. As i find myob management rports not to standard.
